Munib R. MASRI
Vice Chairman

Mr. Munib R. Masri is the Chairman and Founder of the Engineering & Development Group (Edgo). He has a Bachelor’s of Science in petroleum geology from the University of Texas in Austin (1955) and a Master’s of Science in government and geology from Sul Ross University also in Texas (1956). Mr. Masri is also the co-founder and chairman of the Palestine Development and Investment Company (PADICO) whose primary goal is to develop the infrastructure of Palestine. PADICO has launched several companies including Palestine Telecommunications and the Palestine Securities Exchange Company.

 

Mr. Masri co-founded the ICC Palestine (International Chamber of Commerce) and has been its chairman since 2010. Mr. Masri is a former member of the Council of Advisers of the World Bank Middle East and North Africa. He continues to be an active member of a number of cultural, educational, and humanitarian organizations, including the Welfare Association and the Shoman Foundation, and is a member of the board of trustees at both the American University of Beirut and Al Quds University in Palestine.

Mr. Ziyavudin Magomedov is the Founder of Caspian VC Partners, the Founder and the Board Chairman of Summa Group, and the Chairman of Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal LLC.

 

Mr. Magomedov served as the Chairman of Public Joint Stock Company Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port in 2011, Chairman of the Board of Far Eastern Shipping Company Plc., and Director of Public Joint Stock Company Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port from 2011 to 2013. On July 1, 2010, by an order from the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Magomedov was appointed Representative of the Russian Federation to the Business Advisory Council of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation for 2010-2012. He also served as Chairman of the APEC Business Advisory Council in 2012.

 

Mr. Magomedov graduated from the Economics Faculty of Moscow State University in 1994 with a degree in the Global Economy. In 2000, he earned a Candidate’s Degree in Economics, and holds a PhD in international economics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Mr. Rangoonwala has contributed significantly towards the deregulation of export trade in Pakistan. He is a strong advocate of market-based reforms in Pakistan and has been actively involved in public sector divestment in trade and industry.

In 1999, he attended the courses of economic transformation in market economy conducted for the authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan in Virginia, USA.

 

Mr. Sharif started working in 1971 and held different posts in the Farhor region. In 1977, he worked in Kurgan-Tube as a director of the official body in charge of procurement of the regional consumption union. In 1986, he was the Deputy Chairman of Kurgan-Tube and Khatlon regional consumption union. In 1989, he was elected Chairman of the largest consumers` Union of the Republic - Bohtar region of Khatlon area. From 1993 to 1996 he was the First Deputy Chairman of "Tajikpotrebsouz" Board, and in September 1996 he was the plenipotentiary representative of Hukumat of the Dushanbe City in the City Administration and the Government of Moscow, Russian Federation.

 

In October 2003, Mr. Sharif was elected Chairman at the 4th Congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, attending the international assemblies, forums under the UNESCO auspices, and the conferences of World and Islamic Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Since 1993 he has been a member of Interstate and Governmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan. He was one of the participants in signing the Inter-Tajik Peace Agreement in 1997 in Moscow.

 

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Sovereignty Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, on the initiative of Mr. Sharif and with his personal participation, an Agreement on Commercial and Economic, Scientific and Technical, and Humane and Cultural Cooperation between the Government of Moscow and the Hukumat of Dushanbe was signed.  

 

He has been granted government awards for labor services, including the "Sharaf" ("Glory") Order and Gold Medal of Peace and Harmony Federation.

Mr. Alexander N. Shokhin is the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

 

From 1974 to 1987 Mr. Shokhin worked with several research institutions associated with the USSR Academy of Sciences, the USSR State Planning Committee and the USSR State Labor Committee. From 1987-1991 Mr. Shokhin was Economic Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Head of the Department of International Economic Relations of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Twice, in 1991-1994 and in 1998, he held the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. In 1991-1994 he also held positions of Minister of Labor, Minister of Economics, Chairman of the Russian Agency for International Cooperation and Development, and Russian governor at the IMF and the World Bank.

 

Mr. Shokhin represented the President of the Russian Federation in Russia's relations with the G7 countries. Mr. Shokhin is a member of several deliberative bodies under the Russian President and Government, including the Presidential Council for Priority National Projects and Demographic Policies, the Russian Government Council on Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship, the Governmental Commission on Industry, Transport and Technology, the Governmental Commission on Administrative Reform, and the Advisory Council on Foreign Investments. He is also Chairman of the National Association of Regional Agencies for Investments and Development of the South Federal District. Mr. Shokhin has been awarded the Order of Merit for Country of the IV Degree. Mr. Alexander N. Shokhin is the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
