20 Dec 2018

On December 11, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon (FCCIAL), and the Arab Chinese Cooperation and Development Association (ACCDA) signed an agreement to boost economic ties between Lebanon and China.

"The agreement was signed between the two bodies to increase Lebanon's exports to China and the exchange of expertise and information between companies in the two countries," said a statement issued by the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut.

Mohamed Choucair, FCCIAL chairman, emphasized the importance of increasing Lebanon's food and agricultural exports to China." China is in need of these products," he said.

Meanwhile, ACCDA's President Qassem Tofeily said his association will follow up on commercial and economic matters that are of interest for Lebanon and China. "We still have a lot to do, but what is very encouraging is that Lebanon and China have a common will to push their economic cooperation forward," he said. Tofeily added that the association comprises businessmen who will do their best to achieve the desired goals.
