Member Updates: China International Import Expo to get participants from Indonesia

A five-member delegation headed by Mr. Jun Liu, Commercial Counsellor of Asian Department of Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and accompanied by Secretary of Chinese Embassy in Indonesia Mr. Wu Zhiwei, visited Indonesian Chinese Entrepreneur Association (ICEA) in Manilaon March 13th Tuesday. They were welcomed by vice executive president and executive chairman of ICEA Mr. Zhang Jinxiong.

 

Counselor Liu Jun said their visit to ICEA was mainly to promote the first China International Import Expo, which is going to be held in Shanghai on 5 November 2018. It is estimated over 3,000 companies from more than 100 countries will present at the exhibition.

 

Zhang Jinxiong appreciated the delegation visit by Asian Department of Chinese Ministry of Commerce to promote the Expo, and assured to inform all ICEA members, partner associations and media of the event. ICEA would love to take the opportunity of the Expo to introduce Indonesian brands and products to the Chinese market, present Indonesian culture to Chinese consumers and international friends, and share fruits of the Belt and Road trade cooperation.

 

A "Hongqiao International Trade Forum" will be held during the Expo. The forum consists of an opening ceremony and three parallel sessions. State leaders, ministers, heads of international organizations, international business leaders, experts and scholars will be invited to participate. The forum will focus on advancing the openness, inclusiveness, profitability, balance, and win-win result of economic globalization. The forum will discuss and exchange ideas in an in-depth manner to provide advice and suggestions for stimulating global trade development and world economic growth.
