ICC- WCF Council Meeting held in Beijing

International Chamber of Commerce World Chambers Federation (ICC WCF) Council Meeting was held in Beijing on April 11.

 

 

Vice-Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Yin Zonghua, who is also Vice President of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Peter Mihok, Chairman of ICC WCF and SRCIC First Honorary Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of ICC Philip Kucharski, Director of ICC WCF Anthony Parkes, General-Secretary of CCIOC Yu Jianlong and more than 50 participants were in attendance.

 

Yin Zonghua noted, ICC is an important agency for international trade and investment, and WCF is solid platform for Chambers of Commerce to exchange their best practical experience, providing rich products and services for global development and trade facilitation. CCPIT and CCOIC will actively participate in the WCF affairs, solving the current problems the global economy has encountered and jointly promoting multilateral economic development.

 

"The two sides shall jointly hold more business events in China, and CCPIT and CCOIC will strengthen domestic promotion related to WCF, such as the certificates of origin and ATA carnet, and support domestic chambers and associations to participate in the WCF events," added Yin.

 

A cooperation agreement was signed between CCOIC and WCF, witnessed by Yin Zonghua and Peter Mihok.

 

WCF is a department established by the ICC to strengthen the connectivity of chambers and associations around the world. It is in charge of the management of 12,000 members among 6.5 million chambers and associations members.

 

During the meeting, the members of WCF discussed the principles of anti-corruption compliance, the interactions of chambers and associations, the World Chamber of Commerce (WCC) and bidding affairs, trade facilitation services and the latest development of WCF and ICC.
