SRCIC Secretary General Li Zhonghang and Director of the Department of International Cooperation of SATCM Wang Xiaopin

On 13 March 2018, SRCIC Secretary General Mr. Li Zhonghang met with Ms. Wang Xiaopin, Director of the International Cooperation Department of China State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) in Beijing. They exchanged views and ideas on pragmatic cooperation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) projects.

Mr. Li Zhonghang briefed the development of SRCIC, which now has over 103 state-level member organizationsacross 75 Belt and Road countries. By introducing SRCIC’s involvement in the TCM tourism projects in the minority area of Ningqiang County in Shaanxi province, Ningqiang TCM Project, Mr. Liexpressed the intention for SRCIC to effectively promote TCM in the Belt and Road countries and beyond.

Mr. Li Zhonghang also introduced 2018 Silk Road Business Summit to be co-organized by ICC China, SRCIC and Hunan Government, and held in Zhangjiajie city in October. TCM industry will be one of the themed panel sessions of the summit then. Mr. Li invited Ms. Wang Xiaopin to the summit as a support for TCM projects.

Ms. Wang spoke highly of the progress made by SRCIC andagreed to keep close contact with SRCIC. She suggested Ningqiang TCM Project apply for “National TCM Tourism Demonstration Base” and invited SRCIC and its members to attend the International TCM Conference in Beijing on 17-19 October2018. Ms. Wang believed international chambers of commerce can play an important role in introducing TCM to the global market. She is ready to meet the delegates at 2018 Silk Road Business Summit in Zhangjiajie for an extensive and pragmatic communication.
