Member Updates: The Project Matching for Enterprises in Vietnam and CACCI

23 April 2018, a project-match meeting between Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) was held in Hanoi Vietnam, aiming to sort and offer suitable cooperation and investment opportunities for members of the two business associations.

 

The delegation led by CACCI Chairman Jemal Inaishvili was formed by top representatives from over 30 enterprises in industries of textile and clothing, cosmetics, food consumption, medicine, chemical materials, information technology, tourism and other industrial sectors in Australia, India, Nepal and some other countries.

 

In his opening speech, VCCI Executive Vice President Đoàn Duy Khương spoke positively of the partnership between VCCI and CACCI, and emphasized the importance of Asia-Pacific business collaboration. He specifically mentioned the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), a free trade agreement involving 11 countries in the Pacific region, including New Zealand, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Singapore, and Viet Nam. Mr. Khương said, “The CPTPP greatly increased the competitiveness of Vietnam’s economy by extending the cooperation within Asia-Pacific region, promoting imports and exports, introducing advanced technology, and improving the management system.”

 

CACCI Chairman and SRCIC Honorary Chairman Jemal Inaishvili praised the policies and environment provided by the Vietnamese government and the development of Vietnamese enterprises. Mr. Inaishvili indicated that the cooperation between Vietnamese enterprises and CACCI member organizations would be in a win-win situation.

 

Also on the occasion, Mr. Inaishvili invited VCCI delegation to the APEC CEO Summit to be held in Istanbul Turkey at the end of this year.
