At the invitation of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Philippine Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce (PSRICC) arrived in Beijing for attending the Belt and Road Trade and Investment Forum held on 12 April 2018 at Diaoyutai State Guest House.

At its arrival on 11 April, the delegation, headed by PSRICC Founding Chairman and SRCIC Vice Chairman Mr. Francis Chua, paid a visit to the International Department of CPC Central Committee and met with Minister Song Tao.

They had a cordial and friendly talk. Minister Song Tao thanked for Philippine's concern and support for overseas Chinese, and pointed out that China values the friendship with the Philippines, which is in the fundamental interests of both countries. He also spoke highly of PSRICC for taking the lead to establish the first overseas Silk Road international chamber of commerce under the Belt and Road initiative. He believed PSRICC will bring positive influence on China-Philippines collaboration.

Mr. Chua expressed his gratitude to Mr. Song for taking time out from his busy schedule to meet them and appreciated Mr. Song's efforts in strengthening the friendship of two countries when he served as Ambassador to the Philippines. Mr. Chua briefed the funding purpose of PSRICC and hoped to learn from President Xi to facilitate the bilateral economic cooperation.
