SRCIC delegation attending CIIE

On November 5, 2018, the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai. President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech Work Together for an Open Global Economy that is Innovative and Inclusive, indicating that history tells us that openness and cooperation are a major driving force behind dynamic international economic and trade activities. Looking ahead, openness and cooperation will remain essential for continued human progress.

 

SRCIC Chairman Lu Jianzhong, and Vice Chairman and Secretary General Li Zhonghang were invited to the opening ceremony of CIIE.

 

On the same day, Chairman Lu and Deputy Secretary General Tian Xiaohong attended the gala dinner hosted by Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze. H.E. Bakhtadze expressed his gratitude to SRCIC for promoting Georgian red wine and hoped to invite more Chinese enterprises to visit Georgia with the help of SRCIC pragmatic platform. Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze also stated that Georgia was the first country to sign a free trade agreement with China and hoped the friendship between the two countries would last forever.

 

 

 

On November 6, SRCIC leaders including Chairman Lu Jianzhong, Vice Chairman and Secretary General Li Zhonghang, and Deputy Secretary General Tian Xiaohong held a meeting with ICC leaders including Mr. John Denton, Secretary General of ICC, Mr. Daniel Kok, CEO of ICC Academy, and Dr. Fan Mingchao, Director of ICC Arbitration & ADR, North Asia, ICC. Chairman Lu said SRCIC would, as always, actively assist the ICC in promoting its services. “We hope to further deepen the friendly cooperation between SRCIC and ICC.” Chairman Lu added.

 

 

 

On November 6, Li Zhonghang and Tian Xiaohong also participated in the opening ceremony of the Georgian Pavilion at Shanghai Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub. Georgian team including Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Khatia Tsilosani, Head of Department of International Relations, Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Mekhuzla, Chairman of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, Sophio Qochqiani, Counsellor of Embassy of the Republic of Georgia in China and more, and China Fenjiu Group delegation led by its Chairman Li Qiuxi attended the ceremony. SRCIC Shanghai Representative Office promoted the landing of the Georgian Pavilion and  the cooperative signing between China Fenjiu Group and Georgia at CIIE parallel forum Belt & Road Friendship Cooperation Contracts on Twin Wine & Spirits on November 9.

 

 

 

The CIIE is held from November 5th to 10th. Attending the event are 172 countries, regions and international organizations, more than 3,600 companies with a total exhibition area of 300,000 square meters, and more than 400,000 Chinese and international buyers exploring business deals. During the exhibition, SRCIC actively served their members to register for the exhibition and gave the full assistance. SRCIC members from more than 10 countries attended the Expo. They are:
