Ms. Tian Xiaohong, Deputy Secretary General of SRCIC (L) and Mr. Thomas Webel, Minister of Sachsen-Anhalt Ministry for Regional Development and Transport (R)

On 17 May 2018, Ms. Tian Xiaohong, Deputy Secretary General of SRCIC had a friendly meeting with a German delegation headed by Mr. Thomas Webel, Minister of Sachsen-Anhalt Ministry for Regional Development and Transport at German Chamber of Commerce Shanghai Office.

The delegation includes Mr. Andy Lübke, Manager of the Minister's Office from Sachsen-Anhalt Ministry for Regional Development and Transport, Mr. Siegfried Zander, Deputy Managing Director of Magdeburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Sven Erichson and Mr. Martin Dittmer, Coordinators of Magdeburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Olga Harms, Department Manger from Department for International Cooperation of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, Mr. Falk Hoppe, Chief Executive Officer of Cody Logistics, Mr. Ding Yifan, Deputy Director of Business Representation of the German Federal State of Sachsen-Anhalt in China, and Ms. Christine Schaffler, Principal of Sachsen-Anhalt Education Academy of Transport.

Discussion at the Meeting

Ms. Tian warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced the development plans and achievements of SRCIC to the visitors. She invited all the delegates to attend the Silk Road Business Summit 2018 this October in Zhangjiajie City in China to exchange ideas on promoting the logistics and commercial intercourse with China-Europe Express Trains.

Mr. Thomas Webel appreciated Ms. Tian's invitation, and illustrated the advantages of Sachsen-Anhalt transportation and logistics. He highly praised the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative to Sino-German logistics and cordially invited SRCIC to attend the conference of Hinterland Transports in Dessau, Germany on 6 September.

Mr. Siegfried Zander introduced Magdeburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Ms. Tian, and the two sides talked about SRCIC membership, prerequisites for joining in SRCIC, and the potential cooperation between the two organizations.
