Think Tank Summit 2018 for the Belt and Road

27 September 2018, Think Tank Summit 2018 for the Belt and Road (TTSBR) was successfully held at Xi’an Tang West Market. Be themed with “Create a Community of Think Tanks, Contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative”, the summit aims to retrospect and summarize the outcomes of the Belt and Road construction over the past five years in the fields of tourism, technology, health, intellectual property, international trade and commerce and some more.

 

 

The summit includs Belt and Road Construction and Pilot Free Trade Zone Roundtable, Digital Silk Road Forum, Green Silk Road Forum, Healthy Silk Road Forum, and Intellectual Silk Road.

 

 

Yang Zhengquan, Former Deputy Director of State Council Information Office and Director of Chinese Voice Think Tank Academic Committee, Lu Jianzhong, Chairman of SRCIC, Zhang Yanling, Former Vice President of Bank of China and Vice Chairman of SRCIC delivered speeches at the event.

 

 

Mr. Lu expressed in his speech that the Belt and Road Initiative is essential to the social and economic development of human beings, it required intelligence from all Silk Road countries through the Think Tank. Mr. Lu said he hopes the think tank can motivate specialists to take more in-depth study in global development trend and promote the formulation of international standards.

 

 

 

At the opening ceremony of Silk Road Think Tank Community, SRCIC Secretary General Li Zhonghang and Chinese Voice Think Tank Academic Committee Executive Director Xu Yunfeng on behalf of the two organizations signed an agreement and confirmed the two sides’ strategic partnership.

 

 

During the event, a number of Silk Road publications, including the Proceedings of SRCIC, was exhibited to present the fruitful results of the Belt and Road Initiative.
